Navitat Adventure!

Bone Marrow Donor Drive for CarePartners

CarePartners is having a Bone Marrow Donor Drive next Tuesday, August 23, to help find lifesaving matches for people with leukemia and other blood diseases. It will be in the Seymour Auditorium from 3-7 PM. Registering as a potential donor just takes about 10 minutes, including filling out a form and swabbing the inside of your cheeks.

We Are Asheville

The Barrett Values Centre, based here in Asheville, has started a values assessment for our (fabulous) city called “We Are Asheville.”
According to the project website, the mission is “to illuminate collective perceptions of the community through the lens of our shared values. This assessment is intended to inform and empower local problem-solving, decision-making and sustainability through an understanding of our community’s shared values.”
The survey will be online from now until September 30th, and the results will be the most valuable if we can gather input from as many people and demographics as we can to fully represent our community.
